The Moon reaches her pinnacle of fullness on Sunday, 21 July, 2024, at 6:17a (EDT), at 29° Capricorn. It’s the second consecutive Capricorn Full Moon this year.
The Sabian Symbol for this lunation is Directors of a Large Firm Meet in Secret Conference. Ooh … sneaky! This Sabian Symbol conjures themes of secrecy, toxic patriarchy, and a complete and total lack of transparency in business matters.
Capricorn lends a seriousness to Full Moon epiphanies. It shows us how we’ve matured on our paths in order to land the manifestations we’ve managed to call in at this time. Look back to January, when we experienced the last New Moon in Capricorn to see what you’ve managed to call in … and since this is the second Capricorn Full Moon in a row, you have a chance to really reflect on your progress through this calendar year’s manifestation work.
Capricorn is ambitious and pragmatic. It’s definitely patriarchy energy, as it’s all about doing what must be done to win, to excel. How has this energy worked in your favor? How has it worked against you?
This Full Moon—at the anoretic degree of Capricorn—is very tightly entwined with Pluto, who has retrograded back to 0° Aquarius. There’s a symbiotic relationship between these signs presenting a strong urge to meet goals in order to make a fresh start on something completely new, inventive and transformative.
Cooperative aspects with Neptune in Pisces, Mars in Gemini, and Uranus in Taurus make the new direction a little easier, especially if you keep your wits about you, and allow Spirit to guide you.
Mercury in Leo is in an inconjunct with this Moon. You may find the story you’ve been peddling is not actually in alignment with your own experience.
But this isn’t an insurmountable obstacle. The Sun and Moon are in a T-Square to Chiron in Aries. Engaging with your wounds, and naming (and confronting!) your triggers, is the way to move through any difficulties at this time.
With Mercury and Uranus at an exact square, you may find that this is a moment that almost forces you to find new ways to communicate. In fact, Mercury, or your ability to communicate and process data, may prove to be your greatest ally at this time. It is the focal point of a yod with Neptune and Moon/Pluto. This indicates the potential for a transformative spiritual awakening. Be ready to open to whatever wants to be channeled through you at this time.
As I funnel all these aspects through the lens of the Sabian Symbol, it takes on a slightly less sinister frame. From here, I see it more as a meeting of the higher executives (aka: the Spirit Guides) getting together to discuss the best next course of action for us mere misguided mortals. This is an opportunity to receive some transformative guidance from our metaphysical support team, and I suggest you do your best to dial into it and put it to your best advantage. These guys have a clearer view of what’s happening in a Big Picture sort of way, so they can provide intel that can help us get where we want to go … even if we don’t yet know we want to go there.
So, open your mind, your heart and your eyes at this second Capricorn Full Moon, friends! It’s an opportunity to reclaim data we missed the first time around [at last month’s Capricorn Full Moon]. Tie up what loose ends need tying and then get ready to start something totally new. I have a feeling this next chapter is going to be something special!
